UN Recognition of the right to freedom of expression on the Internet

The Un Human-Rights Council confirmed the correct to freedom of expression on the Internet for the very first time in a resolution on 5 July 2012, getting the the career that “the same rights that individuals have off line must also be protected online (…) regardless of frontiers and through any media.” The decision called on all nations “to encourage and facilitate access to the Net and international alliance directed at the creation of media and data and communications services in most nations.”
